Our accounts receivable team likes to celebrate holidays. We're talking every holiday. They recently planned to have a get-together for National Junk Food Day. They started talking the day before about bringing in junk food to celebrate, but they wanted to up the ante; the food had to be even junkier than usual. Someone mentioned a deep fryer, and it took off from there.
Employee Appreciation Week was a great success again this year. The manager car washes, bingo and Family Feud games, ice cream truck visits and Wellness Fairs were just the tip of the iceberg - there were plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy! Each office had events tailored to its teams to encourage maximum participation. Throw in some barbecues, movies and trivia contests, and the week was just about complete.
The CompHealth permanent placement team in Norwalk recently hosted a building-wide Barbecue for Breast Cancer to raise money for the Avon Foundation Walk for Breast Cancer.
CHG's corporate and division leaders gathered in Salt Lake City for their annual leadership summit. The event included a full schedule of meetings and activities at the corporate office. Additionally, leaders took part in a leadership workshop as well as a team-building event during which they assembled children’s bikes for charity.
Peter Corroon, the mayor of Salt Lake County, chose CHG’s headquarters as the site of his latest press conference. Mayor Corroon, who is also running for governor of Utah, announced his plan to preserve the quality of life within the state, and he listed CHG’s core value of Putting People First as a positive example of making quality of life a priority.
CHG is a Best Place to Work, and now many of its people can officially call the cities where they live a Best Place to Live, too. CNNMoney.com released its annual list of the Best Places to Live, a compilation of America's best small cities, and three office locations were listed this year.
LocumLife magazine's June issue features its locum tenens and recruiter showcases of 2010, and several award winners have ties to the CHG family of companies.
CHG’s marketing and IT departments showed there’s nothing like a little friendly competition to do some good in the community. The departments went head to head to see which could donate the most to the Utah Food Bank. After all was said and done, the marketing department brought in 680 pounds but IT emerged victorious with 1,054 pounds, earning a free lunch on the marketing department.
CHG ranked 24th on Utah Business' list of top 100 private companies in Utah. The companies were ranked according to the number of employees for each company.
Becker's Hospital Review and Becker's ASC Review magazines listed CHG Healthcare Services in their list of 100 Best PLaces to Work in Healthcare.
Earlier this month, Millrock Park received an Energy Star designation for the building in which CHG’s corporate office is located. An Energy Star designation recognizes superior energy performance and identifies buildings as among the most efficient in the nation. CHG’s facilities team worked with the management of Millrock Park to lower the electricity usage for this building.

CompHealth allied health staffing licensing coordinator Andrea Adgate was recently elected to the Saranac Community Board of Education in Saranac, Mich. Andrea was elected to the seven-person board for a four-year term, beginning on July 1.
