What is your favorite part about working at CHG? I like the idea of constant change and CHG does a great job of understanding how to change to best fit the culture of not only employees at CHG, but also the public wondering who we are as a company.
What one story best describes your experience at CHG? In 2003 I was put in charge of United Way Week here at CHG. United Way Week is an opportunity for all of us within the company to help raise money for a good cause while also having a great time. That year we decided to involve the C-Level leadership at CHG in a "Kissing the Pig" contest. Employees raised money to see one leader kiss a pig. Nearing the time of the contest, Sean Dailey (CHG's CFO) was behind and we wanted to see him kiss the pig. A few employees, including myself, decided to donate a significant amount of money in his name, and he was then forced to kiss the pig we brought in. It was priceless!
If someone asked you what you do, how would you answer them? I maintain an employee-centered culture at CHG.
Why did you choose to work at CHG? CHG is one of the few places where I feel like I make a real difference.
What is your favorite event that you have participated in at CHG and why? United Way Week because we all have such a good time with all the events and we get to help those in need.
What is your favorite core value at CHG? Continuous improvement. In a growing company, it is important to focus on how to improve both on the individual employee and company levels.
