It's human nature to wonder. Like, I wonder what other great companies are out there? But after a little exploration, many of us realize it's not always greener on the other side. Natalee Child, a CHG Healthcare employee, started her career here while finishing up her last semester of college. She left after seven years, only to later to return. Now she's celebrating a combined 12 years with the company.
“The place I worked didn’t really have a growth plan for their people. It wasn’t as engaging as it is here [at CHG]. The culture here is amazing. The fun and challenging times we have … all interconnected … it’s a rollercoaster ride. It’s part of the journey," says Natalee.
Since returning in 2016, Natalee has worked in nearly every business support position within CHG's CompHealth division. And she has the perfect analogy to explain to people what CHG Healthcare does for business.
"Our company is pretty much like a matchmaking service," explains Natalee. "We have salespeople, or representatives, that go out and find jobs for hospitals and clinics. Then we have also have recruiters that find healthcare providers. Then we try to see if they are a good fit. If they are ... someone like myself and other support business partner roles come into play and we kind of help get everything together to get the doctor there to see patients."
After years on the job, Natalee is still motivated in her career. And here's why.
"For me, I know even my small part in the role, in the grand scheme of things, is making an impact. Whether it's checking the details on their travel, or making sure they get their confirmation letters, making sure their direct deposit is setup. Little small things I know make a difference — whether it's in the provider's life, the client's life, or for the sales team — we're all kind of interconnected. So for me, I feel I make a difference no matter how big or small," says Natalee.
Currently an assignment coordinator on CompHealth's national accounts team, Natalee is able to be a fulltime remote employee. As a self-professed introvert, she admits she absolutely loves it. Natalee confesses, "I feel more engaged and connected. I feel I'm more productive. There's obviously less distractions. I still stay in touch and communicate with all the people I would have otherwise in the office."
