Making a difference in our community is an important part of what we do at CHG. And each year, we give employees the opportunity to give back to local non-profit organizations during our annual Making a Difference Week.
Every year we help millions of patients receive healthcare by placing doctors in the communities that need it most. Recently, our CompHealth locum tenens division made a difference in Salt Lake City by placing two providers in downtown's Fourth Street Clinic, a facility that specializes in treating the homeless.
“While staying in Kathmandu, an impoverished family invited me to their home for dinner,” recalls Grant Olsen, a copywriter at CHG. “They served me the food, then waited for me to finish so they could eat the leftovers. I asked them to join me, but they insisted on waiting. I was touched by their generosity and heartbroken by their destitute situation — and I made a commitment to help.”
Each year, we participate in the United Way’s Day of Caring, which brings together more than 4,000 volunteers representing 120 local companies to complete more than 130 one-day service projects.
